I agree madcosta, Fox has time and again tried to convince people that Federal retirement is like state and local govenment pension. They never mention that the Federal Thrift Savings Plan retirement is much like a 401(k) and the employee contributes a large amount as they do for the medical insurance.

Too bad this Neil Cavuto wannabe doesn' t realize that the Feds no longer have a pension. They put into a Thrift Savings Plan similar to a 401 K fund. When stocks go down, their TSP goes down. As of 1985-87, thanks to Reagan, the government stopped pensions for newbies coming into the government. Gage should have commented more on this.
