Shady Grove

A lame attempt at a clawhammer version of the old tune. Clearly I`m neither a clawhammer banjo player nor a singer but what the hell. Islay the labradoodle ignores the whole thing by staring out the window until the racket drives her off.

Thanks Bernie. I LOVE clawhammer banjo but have never been able to handle the "drop thumb" business. That, and the fiddle, have been lifelong frustrations. I`d upload a fiddle tune or two but am afraid, in addition to the dog diving under the bed, my Mac might explode......

Thanks Kevin. One never knows what will turn up in a dump; always worth an expedition....

We spent a few days about three hours north of you in and around Ballycastle in June; played in a couple of fun sessions and enjoyed the lovely scenery.

Yeah, i've listened to a couple of his shady grove's but i had missed that version :)
