The Tea Party folks are trapped in this fantasy-world recollection of a country that never existed and they're demanding we return to it.

It is a strange combination of ignorance and pathos. Some of them are undoubtedly good and decent people and the country might indeed be a better place if it more closely resembled their imaginations. But facts remain.
