Willing Workers on Organic Farms (kurz: WWOOF) ist eine Organisation, die freiwillige Helfer für ökologische Bauernhöfe vermittelt.
Man bekommt dafuer free accomodation (Unterkunft) und Essen. Dies ist eine super Möglichkeit die Lebensart und Kultur des jeweiligen Landes mal näher und ohne den Touristenblick zu erleben, denn man ist nicht nur dabei, sondern mittendrin.
Insgesamt nehmen mehr als 8.000 ökologische Bauernhöfe in 88 Ländern am Programm teil.
Wir lebten dort 9 Tage bei einer 5-köpfigen Familie, die alle total nett waren und mit denen wir uns super verstanden.
Mein Kumpel und ich haben dort eine Holzhütte gebaut, Feuerholz gehackt, Brot - und traditionelle Kekse backen und Kochen gelernt.
Die Tochter hat uns sogar einmal zum Tanzkurs mitgenommen, viel geholfen hat's nicht, wie man in dem Video sieht ;)

I will be doing some Wwoofing in Europe next year in May and April. Where did you Wwoof?
Do you have any suggestions on where to go...
