POLACY!!! :)
-
This example is NOTHING to what me and my wife have to traverse each morning when we leave the kids to school and to work!
We start out with a 100 steep hill up to the local road, then the terrain climbs another 150 meters, but that bit is usually plowed.
Still, we almost on a weekly basis need to pull other folks on the road or out of a ditch with our XC70's (Yeah! We have one each!) :)
XC70 - for those who want to survive in style! =)

@StuPadazzo Is it a new function, couse all Volvos we've had didn't have this.

@Mylovelycars ...no he's not. Volvos have a "W"inter mode button and that is how it launches AUTOMATICALLY. It is computer controlled. All three of my Volvos do that in the snow under heavy throttle in "W"inter Mode. My 98 S70 GLT, 00 V70 XC, and my 02 S80 T6 all do that when you hit the gas hard in "W" mode. And AWD Volvos don't lock up the rear unless you give them the beans, unfortunately. ...notice his brake lights weren't on when it revved?
@VersaceVJC
Can you be a little more concrete, and if you are able, answer for question?

The reason of this is probably STC - rear wheel only drive when STC work.
