I can really only squeeze about 8 forward gears out of her. The ratios are pretty consistent until 8th when it becomes a 1:1 passthrough which is a 35% increase in rotation. At the lowest gear it is a 8:1 ratio all the way up to 8:5 throughout the first 7 gears. Uses 12 gears, 8 clutch plates and 51 weld latches!

You could make a continuously variable transmission by using a counter rotating wheel and the output would be the difference in rpm between engine/counterwheel.
