@offspringj1 what makes you say that? the guitar was won, so it didn't cost me anything, and it's now got everything I'd want from a "real" CG (including 2 tone mods CGs don't have).

Great work, but your time and labor is worth money, you could have just bought a Country Gentleman and in the end had a guitar that had resale value. In the end, this is still just an Electromatic.

@AmitBuium Thanks very much. Goerge was the king of slide, and these 2 songs really show off his playing the best, I think. Not too many people are familiar with either tune, so it's great to meet/find someone someone else who is.

wow this is super great wish i could get that horse shoe for the top of mine but cant find 1 anywher im rying to do this to my 5120 does any1 no wher i could get a horse shoe ?

@TheDuster88 Mine was made by luthier Paul Setzer, who did the work on this one for me. We're both members of the GDP. Just google Gretsch Discussion Pages, and join up. His name there is Setzer. I don't know how much he sells them for, but they're excellent.
