This clip is a rare extract from the spoof Tony Ferrino documentary, Introducing Tony Ferrino: Who? And Why? - A Quest which purports to chart the life and times of the golden throat of Portugal. In this clip, we see a rare early Ferrino performance on Portuguese TV, as Ferrino with his (now deceased) brothers, sing the not-particularly-classic Fish & Seafood. Watch out for Peter Baynham (Im Alan Partridge, Blue Jam) at the end of the clip...

  • I'm portuguese and this is hilarious! The last guy coming in... too funny!

  • I'm from Portugal and i think the outfits were a hit and miss. only Coogan's is the closest because is similar to Madeira's traditional outfit. About the way the sketch is filmed, (camera work, etc) sometimes you can see that in old RTP's 70's archives.

  • @SuperDaddyO Well, it is documented that the portuguese language has its phonetics unchanged since the 18th century. Sorry to spoil the cheap irony.

  • @Andre2010 sorry, didn't know you were there hundreds of years ago during the development of the portugese language...

  • im portuguese and i think that this is funny

  • I think these english, are the result of the english queen artificial incemination with semen from zézé camarinha!!! poor guys... english blood...

  • isto foi quando?? sei que ha outro video mas com um igles a gozar. Alguem me explica o contexto disto tudo? agradecia

  • I see that Steve didn't talk about this in his polemic about Top Gear's national stereotyping and their cuisine!

  • @SuperDaddyO Sorry, but it has nothing to do with the portuguese "curious" english accent. Portuguese people always sounded like that when speaking english, long before the days of eastern european immigration to the country.

  • @Andre2010 Well...thats why the Portugese have that strange accent for a Latin nation due to eastern european trade and immigration to Portugal.
