yes it is meant to be driven at high speeds. The Golf GTI or R are luxurious, fast little cars and they beat all the competition with ease.

@WyldeClyde this is not a R.... it has the R32 badge on the front its the european model.... again you dont have one or have multiple friends who have them..... you dont know shit .....

@red33m23 it IS designed for the highways....lol its not a city car. my point is basically that non of you have one and non of you kno what its like driving and non of you have modded them, i kno people with turbos and bags ect, take a ride in one of those, kick a Porsche ass no prob, maybe not the 911 turbo, but close

@red33m23 ... its better than a regular gti, thats about it.. Im not impressed by the NEWER R32s... Now Look up a 04 R32, Look at the gains with mods... then look at these... This one isnt even an R32, its an R Golf.. 32 stood for the 3.2L block.. Look up that engine and throw a turbo (much like they did to this 2.0 Joke) on that beast... you looking at 350-450 HP.. Not bad for a car that weighs just over 2500lbs..

@ddeweyjr If you want a car for the highway why buy a bumped up city car and not a car that was designed for the highway in the first place?

For me the Golf is a great car up until the GTi. The R32 is just too much

@red33m23 umm its made to be driven on highways, i think they have a famous one in germany. i own one and trust me its fast.... ive kept up with a porsche and M3 no prob, but its modded
