@Simcat888 Hello Sir,

The Autocam is originally designed to be powered by your car's battery through the AC adapter/cigarette lighter; therefore, when the car turns on your Autocam will power on, as well.

However, if you would like to keep your Autocam powered on to view night time surveillance while the car is off, then all you will need is a battery that is not associated with the car.
