I was there on 10th, and had to give a boo to Py.
The plot is a bit tedious and convoluted. The production was too busy most of the time - lots of coming and going in and out of doors, up and down stairs, rotating, translating - just too distracting and mostly pretentious. It was great for the sound to have the raised levels on stage - I'm sure the singers liked that aspect. The singers were all top class. The orchestra was tireless, with a beautiful sound from start to finish. Great evening!
