@tekiization i understand what your getting at..but yes the "tigray" Eritreans who speak tigrigna have the same language and customs as tigrigna speakers from tigrai Ethiopia....theres no denying that......also a lot of eritreans can retrace there ancestry back to tigray...correct me if i am wrong.

@axum3000 just to let u know eritrea been colonized for more than 400 years. first Turks and then Egypt together for about 300 years. this is from 15 Century to 18th century. Italy for more than 60 years and Britain for about 15 years and Ethipia for 30 years all together more than 400 years. the name eritrea came late in 18th century and it used to be called BAHRI NEGASH. and to make it clear we dont have the same culture not with u guy we ourselves have got different cultures.

@tekiization i dont believe that Eritrea was a country 500 yrs ago,maybe a somewat independent kingdom,if so educate me, i am interested. We are talking about ethnic,cultural,history,and nationality, when i say "origins"

@axum3000 we never been the same and we will never be the same with ethiopia man. go and read history an d u will c that eritrea never been part of ethiopia, but the powerful contries senteced eritrea to under ethiopia in early 1950s. eritrea forver . but put that in mind we aint the same once and forever

I should have been martyred with the good and humble Eritreans of the 1960's, 70's and 80's. I ache inside day in and day out when I see and hear that is happing to Eritrea now. At least our martyrs have passed on achieving independence. Glory to our martyrs!

@EritreanKing007 we are the same people why do you say words like this?Eritrea grew with ethiopia we are the same land and people...we will have peace once we erase that we are some how different....
