  • This is great footage. Very interesting to watch. Thank you.

  • @pacificprospector Thanks for your kind words. I'm so very bummed right now. I thought I was going to have babies hopping around in a few weeks and was looking forward to making more videos, new camera, tripod, etc. Out of nowhere, they're gone! poof. Here one day and every day, then just gone. haven't seen them in 3 days. Mother Nature really annoys me sometimes.:( Hope the efforts they are making in your area helps. They really are great to have around. thanks again.

  • You know Baby Owls are called OWLETS!

  • @tocimak1 Yes, I do. hehehe. I also call them teenagers or teenowls sometimes. I felt many younger viewers may not find the videos without baby owl in the heading.

  • That's a really great video. I work with burrowing owls, when they are brought into the wildlife center for rehabilitation, but I've never seen any out in the wild.

  • Thanks! I love watching them, especially when there are new babies. They sometimes remind me of kittens getting into trouble. Sometimes (like this video) I film them right from my window so the little ones don't even know I'm watching. Usually the adults don't miss a trick though, they're always aware of what's going on. I'm really happy to hear that you help out at a rehab center. What a great job! Thanks for helping them, they sure do need it sometimes.

  • Now that is priceless footage. Thank you for sharing!

  • @heykayde We actually live outside the Burrowing Owl range but across the street from our house we usually have a family of Barred Owls. Some years they have chicks some years not, and sometime they seem to "lose" their chicks (others predators perhaps??). Burrowing Owls though are our favourite. We were happy to have found your videos. We may put some of our Barred owls videos up but they are not as interesting at yours. Cheers.

  • I wish we had some Burrowing Owls living near us. They're really silly and cute owls.
