I'll be doing this for high school solo/ensemble competition in a month or so... This was one of the college-level solos you can play with music, and I loved it since I first looked it up. The really hard part is rehearsal marking K with all those awkward triplets =S

im playing this piece unaccompanied in an audition next week, anyone got any advice? thank you so much

Not digging the slide technique...but I will agree with everyone in saying that your tone is fantastic.

@baffosmack It's not rare for trombonists. ;-) I remember giving this a whack in college.
@SanyaNyankin - love the tone. Your tone is very representational of a traditional trombone sound. No one else has said it, so I'll ask if you noticed that your slide is slow in some areas. Some of the runs around 5:28 are a little mushy, as is the lyrical area around 1:40. Just honest criticism here, since I no one else is posting questions/criticism.

I have watched your videos from this concert many times. I enjoy listening to your sound, and the level of technique is great too. Thanks for posting your videos, I get inspired each time I watch!

Your tone is wonderful!

Nice performance. The pianist needed more camera time. It's a duet, after all.
I love the piece, but i love more the sound of the trombone!!
