Chicago Rock! ---This Is One Of The Best Sounding Rock Songs I Have Ever Heard. I Put It Right Up There Along With "Highway Star" By Deep Purple And "Rock Bottom" By UFO. The "Boyzz" Were Formed In A Small Town North Of Chicago Called Fox Lake. They Were Well Known There As A Biker Bar Boogie Band. In 1978, They Recorded An LP For Epic Records Called "Too Wild To Tame" That Unfortunately Did Not Sell Well On A National Level. This Is Really Too Bad, Because The Boyzz Crank Out Some Serious Rock Jams That Should Have Been Given Much More Attention And Recognition. Band Member "Dirty Dan Buck" Delivers One Of Rocks BEST Screams On The Hard Driving "Destined To Die". If You Can Find This LP At A Garage Sale Or Record Show, I Highly Recommend You Plunk Down The $$$....It Will Be Well Worth It. Now, Turn Up Your Speakers...All The Way...And Blast This Epic Jam From The BOYZZ!

  • Actually St. Charles was their home base. That is where they would rehearse. Dirty Dan went to St. Charles high school and Mike Tafoya (Guitarist ) went to West Aurora high.

  • @TheFireWithin2779 ---- Thanks for the correction and additional info.

  • HOLY HELL!!! WHERE HAVE I HEARD THIS NAME BEFORE? an episode of WKRP the unedited version of "THE CONTEST NOBODY COULD WIN" edited because the ORIGINAL version mentions "The boys" but when released on dvd, all the music had to be changed because of lisencing, but you can see a BOYZ album cover in a womans hand during the dvd episode...

  • You are correct sir. That is one BAD ASS rock tune. Saw the Boyzz about 25 times. Incredible live act. I own 2 copies of that iconic LP. A microcosm of the late 70's. Classic.

  • still have the vinyl...this song was always my favorite...definitely one of the best r & r screams ever....

  • wow what a great song i also still have this lp brings back alot of memorys of the old days when rock was good

  • I remember attending a party in Palatine (1980/81?) who's host was an x CBS record exec. Dirty Dan was there w/new girlfried/fiance & I discoved thru the exec that Dan had just invested in a new recording studio locally. We talked about groups, what makes them successful, destroys them....he played some demos and I gave him my opinion on hits. It all boils down to money. Does label think they are bankable or not. I hear a bit of Head East on this song.

  • still have this lp, and still in great shape

  • Thanks for this clean recording musicmike

  • @MusicMike - I'm from Switzerland and may I'm one of the only that have this record. This is great that you presenting a Band like this....

    Claudio

  • Awesome synth work, all around solid track

  • @MusicMike2 - Its ok. They played alot in the Fox Lake area so you could make an argument that their career started in Fox Lake. Even though they were from St. Charles.
