2007 Hyundai Tiburon - Custom Turbo - first day of starting

4/11/10 - Started the car up for the first time after spending lots of time and money building up a custom turbo system. It's got way too many parts to list, and it surprisingly runs!

Have some bugs to work out that i think have to do with my injectors, but we'll see. I just wanted to get a video out there showing it works.

After u put the intercooler piping on, where does the cam cover breather hose go to ? I noticed u didnt plumb it back into the piping just up near the throttle body

@phats24 I actually used a brass T-joiner to bridge the crank cover and one other hose (i do not remember now) to an oil catch can, which i had the vacuum source be a line on the turbo inlet piping.

@nmorgowicz ok thanks. also, where did or can u get those rad hose inserts for the water feed to the turbo.

@phats24 They were ebay hoses, but they ended up leaking through the weaves, so i went back to the OEM hoses. I had looked into getting a better kind of hose, but at the time, there were no other options.

@nmorgowicz alrighty, what about the blue inserts u can see in both hoses, that is how ur putting water threw the turbo isnt it ? where did u get them from please

@phats24 I'm sorry, i am not really sure what you mean. The taps that feed and drain the turbo of coolant were custom made by a member on newtiburon forums. If you mean the braided stainless lines, i bought the parts and special tools and made the lengths and hoses myself.

When u got ur ecu installed, did u have to adjust the timing aswel as the AFR or is it only the AFR that needs to be tunned ?

@CLBNTIGGER Yeah, i ended up fixing that issue shortly after filming the vid. Adjusted the spring of the BOV and pressure required to open it.

Blow off valve not working... that's noise after u get go of the gas is the turbocharger spinning on the opposite direction... not good...
