www.GimpGear.us After adding a solid support of wheelchair backrest to the kayak, repositioning the paddle holder, and improving the grips with straps that wrapped around the entire paddle and hand (my hands are completely paralyzed) but could quickly pull away in case of capsizing I headed back out on the water on Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

  • what level are you? Ive always wanted to kayak but Im a c5 without triceps.

  • @glendi731 I am a C4-C5 and do not have any triceps either. You pull with one arm and then you pull with the other using your biceps. There are more quadriplegic kayaking videos on my Gimpgear YouTube channel. Newest is down the Mississippi with transfers using the Comfort Carrier. - since you are a C5, I also highly recommend you look at the PowerGrip Assisted Grasp Orthosis BroadenedHorizons [dot] com / PowerGrip [dot] htm
