Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (Live) Part 1 of 5 - Cornell University, Risley Theater

Part 1 of Cornell University's theatrical interpretation of "Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog" (originally written and produced by Joss Whedon and family).
The staged performance at Cornell was directed by a Marguerite Shaffer and Erin Tower, and starred Jeff Cox as Dr. Horrible, Daniel Burns as Captain Hammer, and Xannie Baker as Penny. There were five performances of the show, all in Risley Theater, with a total cast and crew of 15. Any questions or comments should be directed to jms367@cornell.edu. It was so much fun!

This is pretty good. It looks really nice and everything. But I'm not sold on the guy playing Billy. He's just way too aware of how funny Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is. He's asking the audience to laugh. He's a good actor, but he's all wrong for Billy. Part of the charm of the role as played by NPH was how sweet and sad and funny and angry he could be all at once, without ever coming across as being aware that he is any of those things.

Still, not bad.

It's hard to equal Neil Patrick Harris...true...but this guy is about a 3 outta 10. Sorry guy. The Hockinson actor was better than you.

How did you get the rights for this? I'm going to be graduating in May with a theater degree, and I really want to direct this show before I make my way out into the world! I'm not sure to get them, if anyone can help, I would be soooo appreciative, thanks :D
