A Fishermen's Life

This is our families fishing history, we are 4th and 5th generations of commercial fishing. We are very proud of our heritage and wish the Govt would be as concerned as we are as to the direction fishing is heading and to the Australian Fish Management Authority who is failing to manage the industry correctly.

nice vid! its so wrong what the govt are doing! we will all be eating imported rubbish soon because what is caught in aus will be far to expensive but im sure when they have their big functions they will use taxpayers money to have the best while us average joes are left with the rubbish! it doesnt sit well with me! anyways keep up the good work! your doing australia proud!

Fantastic video and song - the truth rings through here. Our port is also dying an unnatural death - thanks to mismanagement, govt fees & charges and the lack of support we fishers need. We seem to be treated like lepers, but funny how people want to line up at the table for 'fresh' fish and prawns!

Enviromentalism based on corrupt science, is being used to steal away all of our Rights, Freedoms, and Liberty !!. Conservation groups have made stopping commercial fishing into a big money business, with the donations from the public that does not know what is really going on, and from government grants for their falsified/bad data on the fisheries. (over-fishing is an even bigger Lie than global warming was !!!). We the commercial fishermen are NOT the bad guys that we are made out to be.

I'm a deck hand on my dad's trawler on the goldcoast and with the new goverment they're trying to close done the top of NSW (tweed) all of fraiser island and out the front of southport its a load of bs. They are siding with th greenies which are trying to stop commercial and recreational fishing plus we don't even get compensation for it! How Great...
