Why did Malina retired in the middle of 2009? Was she hurt or was the work to hard or was it the coach saying NO.

@lswalling I think she was injured in an amusement park and has never recovered.

I'm so glad she's still in the sport and doing well. It's so heartbreaking to see her cry at the interview with her father when he's explaining that there is a possibility of Raluca not making it :(

Yes it is very sad:( But at least her father was being truthful and realistic; who knows what can happen in this sport? But, yes. I am happy she made it:)

@beautifulsarah100 I agree, I love those gymnasts and I really want to watch some documentaries on them! I actually grew up watching their competitions! ( mid-90s to 00s)

You know there's something special in a girl who cries at that age just because her dad speculates on the possibility of her not making it as a gymnast. And as we know now, she has made it and will probably go to London. What a great story!

I would give anything for documentaries like this on other great Romanians like Milo, Gina, Simona, Andreea, Sandra, Daniela, etc. It would be so cool to see them as children when they were just starting out.
