This is one of the greatest videos I have ever seen.

Could one use a closer stance to emphasize or attack the outer quads?

can some one fracture their shoulders by doing front squats???

@supmuhhumbruh thanks for your reply. good point, i agree. thats why i switched to the cross arm grip. i dont have and have never used kettlebels, would you recommend them if im looking to frontsquat anywhere from 135-200 pounds? whats your take on the cross arm grip for front squatting?

@supmuhhumbruh ok, i see what ur saying, and a video on mobility would be great. u seem like u have good knowledge, thanks

good video. most people shy away from front squats when they realize they can barely front squat what they bench(or less), its tough on a fragile ego. great exercise though.
i agree with the last poster, the crossed arm hold is great if you have wrist issues. obviously you cant so that with a squat clean, but thats a different exercise!

@smats42 If you truly have wrist issues than my recommendation is to front squat with kettpebels. But the problem is typically that the individual lacks good shoulder flexion/external rotation - and then compensates through wrist hyperextension - which can be both painful and dangerous

the crossed arm hold is better

@MrGodsGiftToHumanity reasoning?

@supmuhhumbruh for me to strech my hands back feels a little unatural, plus i feel like i have better control with the crosed grip

@MrGodsGiftToHumanity Front rack position requires requisite mobility - especially external shoulder rotation and flexion - after that it requires ample wrist extension. I will post a mobility routine to help improve this position if you feel restricted
