Mobius Strip
Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik
GP Tank (Wheel)
No, this doesn't refer to Mobius, the planet that the cartoon series and Archie and Fleetway comics were set on. That Mobius is over and done with. A mobius strip, rather, is a mathematical shape. It's a belt that has only one side. You can make a mobius strip yourself: Take a long piece of paper and tape the ends into a loop. Except before you do, flip one end of the paper over (both not the other). If you draw a line along a mobius strip, you won't get back to where you began until you've traced the loop twice--a mobius strip has only one side because the other side of the paper is the same side. Confused yet? Try cutting a mobius strip along this line. It won't cut into two loops, but one bigger loop with two twists.
So yeah. This course is shaped like a mobius strip and is the location of a boss battle, the Master Core ABIS.One of Eggman's robots, SCR-HD, had acquired the anti-gravity powers that you've been seeing throughout this game and now wants to take over the world. Or something. This stage is set inside a black hole that Master Core ABIS created. To finish a lap, you must hit him twice, six times total to finish the race. In order to hit him, wait until he activates a Gravity Dive (it's automatic), and then ram into him when you use Meteor Burst on the green panels that float up.
It's Eggman's robot who wants to take control, so it's only natural that Eggman steps up to take him down. Well, actually, the reason why I chose Eggman is because I had chosen him to defeat the Babylon Guardian in the first Sonic Riders, and I wanted to see Eggman beat another boss. (This is the last role I know of with the late Deem Bristow voicing Eggman. The clip "Do you think you can beat me?" was taken from Sonic Heroes.)
Getting a lot of GP is crucial. Aside from tricks, there are other ways to gain GP. On occasion, you'll see rails for Speed characters and floating hoops for Flight characters. They aren't shortcuts; the time you gain is negligible. You might be wondering: Where do Power characters fit in? Well, they gain very small amounts of GP by getting in the way of Master Core ABIS's attacks. They all count as obstacles to be punched out of the way. Making up for the tiny GP gain is that they're invincible to Master Core ABIS (except for the rock-smashing attack), allowing Power characters to get an optimum path on the course and stay ahead.
The GP Tank is a Wheel that's focused on getting you as large a GP Gauge as possible. As a Wheel, it can't do a proper Gravity Control, though that's unnecessary as the turns here are extremely gentle. Its Gear Changes are its gimmick:
50 Rings: GP Gauge UP
70 Rings: GP Gauge UP
100 Rings: GP Gauge UP
It takes a lot of Rings, but you could have a downright massive GP bar at the bottom. As long as you're good at gaining GP, you'll always have plenty in reserve. Way better than the similarly-named GP Reserve.

@124shadowthehedgehog Yes, this is the Wii version. And no, the PS2 isn't able to play online. The PlayStation Network doesn't accomodate the PS2.

Can anybody do this stage with super sonic please? I cant find it anywhere on YouTube

@mike98007 It's very impractical to do as Super Sonic. The reason why is a lack of Rings around the place, and SUper Sonic's Rings drain like crazy when he goes into a Gravity Dive. They happen automatically in certain parts of the course, making it a struggle to play.
