I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz (cover by 9 year old Ian)

Ian learned this on guitar just over a week ago and after seeing all the I Won't Give Up covers out there, he was motivated to do one. We did two "takes" and although both have a shaky section, I'm so proud that at his age he is willing to play through the rough spots and not give up. He said tonight, "When will I learn to love myself and my voice?" My reply: "Ian, Jason would want you to love yourself!" and he says, "Ya, you're right!" So this is dedicated to Jason Mraz, Ian's IDOL. You are loved!

Thank you for watching and for being gentle and kind with your comments. He is so incredibly happy when he plays and sings and I hope that he learns to handle criticism slowly but surely as it is important. I try and tell him that at his age, (and probably older) Jason probably hit a wrong note or two :) :) maybe... And, Jason started playing guitar at 18!

i giggle a little at the high voice fail,but the lad is still young and there is a lot of improvement for him!,and the guitar playing at some points are a little late but then again,there is still a lot improvement for him too on that,but overall for that age,this lad should have a million thumb ups!
