This is made with limited space and budget in mind . I tried not to over think it as it is what it is .
That being said it was really simple . All you will need is :

Buzzsaw - Measuring Tape - Electric Screwdriver - 3.5" Screws - Drill Bit - 4" x 4" Fence Post - (2) 2" x 4" boards - 5 gallon pail - 40 to 80 lbs in weight for inside bucket .
I got idea's from the poor man's wooden dummy and added my own .
-Thanks blacksilkblacksilk .

A fun afternoon to boot ! Cheers .

Since this video I have added padding to where the face and mid section would be to round it out . So far it has been putting up well with the abuse but extra brackets will soon be needed .

Everything needed to be bracketed but has been holding up well since then .

  • Good job, brother! This is how it all started. Thousand moons ago, there was no martial art supply store, everyone build their own equipment. Key point is it must fit one's own needs. This on might fit Handinfire but not fit for my need or my space. Being a complete martial artist means one must know how to follow tradition but also how to use one's brain to be creative. Thanks for posting....☺...

  • @2redstick Thank you for your kind words. A great way to look at it. Cheers.

  • Looks quite good. But it doesn't look like you could apply much force against it before it falls over.

I'm going to be making my own one shortly. Planning how to go about it though.

  • @llamallama2007 I did that a while ago and yes I did have to redesign the base but works great now. Still no replacement for the real deal but hope you can get some good ideas for yours. Best of luck and hope to see a posted video when your finished. Cheers

  • @llamallama2007 also it never tips over but did move around a lot. Recommend about 80 to 100 lbs of sand/ weight.
