I have been in surveillance and security over 35 years. When my son went missing last Sunday I immediately drove to Disneyland and stood at the exit on Main St. for over 5 hours scanning the crowds until they closed at 1am looking for my son. I contacted Disneyland security and asked to view their tapes on the exit area around the time Sean went missing. I was told there were no cameras anywhere in the public area.

The security was a joke. I got nearly no help at all. What was he wearing when he left the park? Did he leave with someone? Did he leave at all? Since Disneyland takes in about $600,000.00 per day you would think they care enough to protect their guests. I guess not. You are not protected at this place and my experience proved that. I also asked to look at the tapes from the parking structure where I can clearly see surveillance cameras everywhere.

Again. I was denied. This information could have helped me to find my son or at least give the police a better understanding of what he looked like just hours before he went missing. So if something is stolen from you while at the park or you're assaulted don't expect Disneyland to help.

In all my years in security I have never dealt with a more pitiful group in security. I intend to change this. Disneyland will be installing cameras and staffing them at all hours or the news media will be informed and I will harass them every day I am alive for years to come. When you visit Disneyland know this; you are not protected
