My parents both died in a car accident when I was 6 months old.
Finally after 12 years in a care home, I got the best Christmas present anybody could ask for...
A FAMILY! <3

The FOR FOSTER CHILD Group on Facebook is the Big Brother for todays world . A platform for social networking and educational awareness . For the child or the adult that has been pushed through Foster Care the system . For the family that has children in Foster Care . For that child that is a subject of abuse . For that child that has to turn to a life of crime . It starts with the children and putting back together our families . Please join me and my other friends in such a worthy cause .

Thing about fostercare is that different parents or relatives are still going to be there for you even if you live in the projects. I know how every foster kid feels. I'm in fostercare at this very moment! I'm sorry for all the kids that are all in foster care.

Why is it that if a child lives with their natural parents and the child dies as a result of abuse or neglect it usually takes hours for an investigation to be completed and people to be arrested...but if the child is in the system and the child dies as a result of neglect or abuse it often takes YEARS until there is an investigation? (If any) Why? Did you also know that NO body can investigate CAS, including the Ombudsman of Ontario?

this is a great video! you did a great job! my husband and i are adopting through foster care :-) we just finished all of our training and have our final home study then we will be a waiting family :-D
I am a foster parent and have been for four years. All of the foster parents I know do it because we love the kids. I know, like everything else, there are always going to those who are "bad apples' but if the state is doing it's job with checks and balances, those should be discovered and removed. We believe being a foster parent is a ministry in which God allows us to serve. God bless all the broken children.
