  • @Fingalful "How could you be Sola Scriptura and deny Jesus is God?" - very easily.

"That's not logical" - Neither is SS

"you put the "fathers" above the Word of God!" - Not really. The Fathers guide us in our understanding since they got their information direct from the Apostles. However, the Word takes presidence. Any Christian will tell you that. I won't reply.

  • what role does God the holy spirit plays on judgement day...

  • @nathansteel86 Amen

  • @RevengeOfIjapa How could you be Sola Scriptura and deny Jesus is God? That's not logical. I & every other Bible-believer I know believe in the Trinity & the divinity of Jesus as does Dave Hunt. And we all reject the so-called fathers. God Himself tells us He magnifies His Word above His Own Name (Psalm 38:2). Yet you put the "fathers" above the Word of God! Jesus said the Word was truth. Where is this said in Scripture of any mere men? It actually warns against this: I Thess 5:21 & 1 John 4:1.

  • Dave Hunt doesn't teach that John's followers were heretics but heresy started with John's contemporaries. Tha't's history! John wrote of the heresy as did Paul & Peter. Dave doesn't teach Christianity was lost for hundreds of years. He teaches there have always been true Christians. Infant baptism is not taught in the Bible nor is transubstaniation. The Catholic church didn't exist at the time of Polycarp or Ignatius nor did it begin till after well after Constantine. These are historic facts.

  • I read about Ignatius of Antioch and Polycarp. They were both disciples and friends of St John the apostle. If St Johns followers were all heretics and true Christianity was lost for hundreds of years it isnt a credible system. In fact it is crazy to think that the apostles followers were false teachers and Christianity was lost until the reformation. The truth is both Polycarp and Ignatius believed in a infant baptism and the real presence of Christ at Communion....they were Katholics!

  • Thanks Dave for the tremendous work. You are a man called by God doing exactly what you are called to do.

  • Wonderful video. God bless you Dave Hunt

  • Kinda funny how the church fathers that he belittles are the same ones who created the bible that he claims is the word of God. Kinda funny how the very people he condemns are also the ones who placed 13 of Paul's letters into the canon.

While I agree with the church leaders at the time in question being corrupt, the problem I see here is that he picks and choses which acts of corruption he accepts and which acts of corruption he rejects.

  • Roman Catholics are not Christians. Ephesians 2:8-9. By grace ye are saved. God's grace. Not by works lest no man should boast. (NO amount of good works can get you into Heaven, Jesus is the only way to Heaven John 14:6). But then the Catholics say about James "Faith without works is dead". That means you must nuture your faith, you must keep going and keep living for the Lord. Romans 6:1-2 you cannot continue in sin. Gal 2:20 your sinful desires have been put to death at the cross.
