This is a 30 over 318 SHORT STROKE They made 360 hp factory, indy heads, trw pistons lunati cam, on the dyno she pull 640, we estimated in previous vids, but she proved we were close on the dyno.

Thanks for sharing your video, I have an 88 Ram as well. Your dads truck probably makes around 300 horsepower at the crank (much less at the wheels) and should run the quarter solidly in the 14s with a decent rear end gear ratio. You are not fooling many with your claims, but it's all in good fun right? I miss my 318 scamp, it had a Lunati 292/.480 cam and headers and sounded sweet, no one could believe it was a 'lowly' 318! Have fun at the track, but secure that battery first! (won't pass)

o yes i forgot to mention the short stoke was a 383 b engine chrysler made in the 60s. sometimes a 318 is called a short stoke engine because it has a shorter stroke than most other common engines.but there is no such thing as a hp 318 short stroke engine.and yes i do know my mopars. the only hp 318 was in police cars and a few other vehicles and all it was ,was a 318 with 360 heads and 4 bbl intake and carb .thats it .so im sorry if ur misinformed about this engine. sorry

i do like the truck and am doing a similar build myself but i still dont believe the 600+ hp 400 maybe 318s just dont make that kind of power without a blower or somekind of turbo and especially with an rv cam.but claim what u want its still a nice truck

Where can I find some info on a 318 short stroke? I've heard of 318 poly and wedge. Never "short stroke". Sounds a lot like the guy who told me his 93 318 mag made 300hp factory.

Mopar Muscle did a 318 as far as you can go with a vortech blower and got 660hp out of it and was worried about the block coming apart and you have how much? Either your dad is a liar or who ever sold you that boat anchor is a liar now which is it? And if that piece does 9sec. my yugo does it in 2secs. And no and I mean no 318 ever left factory with 360hp! And futher more there is no such a thing as a short stroke 318 they all had the same 331 stroke

9 sec without a cage huh..... Who here beleives that? There is no way you ran that. If you break 12 sec you have to run an NHRA approved roll cage with 4 point harness.... After 10 sec 5 point with hins... Oh and NO WAY is that building 600 hp at wheels sorry to burst your bubble

Ok i have a few questions. If this truck is really making 700 to the crank, which is extremly hard to believe what parts did you use for the 318 and how much did it cost? I'm not sayin this isnt true but its hard to believe that its making that power without an aluminum block or even aluminum heads.
