Twinkle is Icingdeath's companion scimitar, held in his left hand (and worn on his right hip).
Drizzt found Icingdeath in the treasure pile of a white dragon, for whom the blade was named. Icingdeath is first mentioned in The Crystal Shard.
Drizzt usually holds Icingdeath in his right hand.

  • Drizzt's swords are scimitars, a scimitar has a curved blade, which is stated many times throughout the book, the swords also look nothing like Twinkle and Icingdeath. Looks like whoever designed these swords read the books about as well as the creators of the eragon movie read the book Eragon

  • i just hope that if they ever make a REAL movie on drizzt they dont use a piece like that. i wounder what aegis-fang will look like. and who is going to play wulfgar anyway?and what of errtu the demon i hope they will make the movie with some good cg.

  • @XxDrizztx Well, Icingdeath isnt a scimitar, Twinkle is, if you read carefully many of the books say "Icingdeath sword and Twinkle scimitar" And while the design of the swords isnt too much exact, they are a decent resemblence. Because on the cover of quite a few books of Drizzt, the two swords have gems in their hilts and they do not show any inscriptions, other than that the blades are not too much different from the two swords in the Drizzt books

  • dolph lundgren would play an epic wulfgar!

  • @smfournier10 the guy who plays thor would make an awesome wulfgar

  • i don't understand why twinkle has drow scripture engraved on its blade. twinkle was made by the moon elves. Twinkle and Icingdeath were created nor enchanted by drow.

  • The quality of the work in those ornaments is rather.... subpar.

  • @livedrainer9 tl;dr Version: Just because they look like what's on the cover art and because Salvatore calls them scimitars in the novels in no way means that the blades presented in this video are in any way, shape or form scimitars.

  • @livedrainer9 As I said, these are based off of the original Museum Replica pieces that were based on the design by Todd Lockwood and approved by Salvatore. This means dick-all, since these designs bore little resemblance to how the swords are described in the novels. They are originally two completely unique blades, yet now they look remarkably similar. They also both now bear Drow inscriptions, even though neither are of Drow make. Icingdeath has also lost it's cat's maw design.

  • @livedrainer9 Sir, swords are my passion. I know full well the difference between a scimitar and a cutlass is. Not once have I called these cutlass, but they damn well aren't scimitars. And I also know that these swords match the ones that Drizzt uses in the illustrations. (The rest of my post is too long, so I'll split it into two parts.)

  • @SuperGoliath89 they are scimitars you're just thinking that the dramatically curved version of a cutlass is a scimitar but it's not these are scimitars, you can look up Icingdeath and Twinkle on Google Images and these will come up I guarantee it, besides, I've never seen a single Drizzt book that had Drizzt wielding any blade that looked much different from these swords

  • @XxDrizztx um actually those are the scimitars he uses in the cover art of all the books
