Honestly, I think this film's both underrated and overrated at the same time. On one hand, I feel sorry for David Fincher as this film didn't get the recognition it deserved until the DVD sales; the film didn't do well in theaters at all... on the other hand, EVERY SINGLE film student I ever talk to tells me how much they LOVE this movie and how amazing it is. On a technical aspect, it's amazing. The writing is superb. As the flow of film goes, the second half kind of suffers, and the end hardly resolves anything. I don't know, this film is just a little pet peeve of mine. Yes, it's a good movie, but come on you film people, it's not a godsend by any means. Stop writing "I am Jack's broken heart" on your Myspace and broaden your horizons a bit.
That being said...
Sorry it took so long. I tried it like three times, and I couldn't get it right.
