  • Literal translation may very well be Good Luck, but the actual translation (and believe me - I speak Hebrew all day, every day) is Congratulations. Not Good Luck.

  • Fantastic. Choreography, talent, everything. Of course, the music we know and it is always delightful.

  • Why do some people think thay have to bring their (poor) knowledg of Hebrew to Youtube every time there is a Jewish video, which in ths case is a masterpiece

?of the musical theatre liked by Jews and non-Jews alike

If you want to discuss the language spoken by Isaelis you have to come and live here, take the proper major at the Uni and only THEN start to express an opinion on it.

Let us enjoy Youtube videos without this ..... it, please

  • MUCH better than the competitions on ice...

    Very beautiful and impressive performance

  • Fiddler on the Roof..gives me a feeling of warmth in my heart..to be a Jew.

  • @Dominus26 Does this mean I win? Either way...Zei Gezundt!

  • @samuel17517 Samuel, you're right. My first post was a year ago. I actually didn't even remember writing it, and for that matter - didn't even remember seeing the video...:)

Let's finish it with this - Mazal Tov could be used as both - Good Luck and Congratulations. Though the latter is the most common use for it...

  • @Dominus26 Yo! Take it Slo! Cut down on the Mogen David stuff. What you are writing here is in total disagreement to what you wrote in the first place. Take a deep breath! Do several arm raises. two knee bends & re-read what you wrote originally & compare with what you write here. You sound like a literally confused individual.Don't let your blood boil . Wait until you calm down, maybe like tomorrow morning after a shower. No dig the Shalom comparison?

    Wait an extra day.

  • @samuel17517 You are actually trying to teach *ME* on Hebrew meanings? The fact that Mazel Tov is used abroad in many occasions as a replacement to Congratulations does not belay the actual meaning of the two words as a separate - Mazal , being Luck, and Tov being Good.

Oh, and in your Spanish clash story - were you the dumbest student? Words can have several meanings - but the literal and dictionary meanings do not always take precedence over the every day uses of them.

    Peace Out!

  • @Dominus26 Ya better go back to HEBREW SCHOOL. Ya WERE SLEEPING IN CLASS. Ya got it all backwards. The literal translation is the "actual" translation. It is used for "congratulations" as an expression.

You speak Hebrew everyday? Really?. When I studied spanish in school, the dumbest students in the class were spanish. Am I getting thru to you? Or do you need an interpreter for this. Some of you dummies also believe that "Shalom" means hello & goodbye. It means "peace".

  • Truly stunning and spectacular.

    congratulations
