Dr. Breeding, Ph.D. Psychologists, discusses the use of animal experimentation in psychology and psychiatry. Various behavior models in psychology were developed by observing animals (mostly rats and mice) and then applying the same model and techniques used to modify or control the animals behavior to human beings. Is man really as simple as a rat or a mouse?

Animals are also used in psychiatry to test biological interventions such as electroshock, psychiatric medications and drugs, brain implants designed to regulate behavior and brain operations.

Is it realistic to assume that what works on an animal will also work on a human being? And what are ethical ramifications for testing drugs and surgical operations on perfectly healthy animals? Is it ethical to experiment on animals when it is absolutely know that is will harm the animal in the process or is it an abuse that is evil. Do you have the same mind as a rat or mouse?

While I was in grade school, they made me play viola then switched me to third violin. In choir, they would make me sing horrible songs. Then I had to do charity all of the time for free. I tutored someone in English my senior year and used to bike over to this woman's house to write her term papers because she was too busy, slow and on food stamps.
