@topper2142 well for one thing it looks like 3/4 of the spectators probably cant pronounce USMC in English. so it probably doesn;'t mean as much to them when the finest fighting force in the world goes marching by. Semper Fi.

@MattTheBandKid Here is a suggestion: Don't. It's awful. I know you don't think it would be, but it is. It will make you hate playing tuba, I don't want that for anybody.

The reason for the ones who have no blood stripes is they are L/Cpl's and below or E-3 and below. You get your bloodstripe at Corporal.

For some reason there aren't many or really any videos from 29 Palms Marine Band playing in the Rose Parade. I would like to point out how amazing they were too (:

I would have loved to be there, about where that guy with the green horn is blowing it at the band. As a Navy Corpsman I could have given him the "Silver Bullet"....no lubrication.

still the best military marching band in the country. Impeccable marching and playing. I wish they would put this composite marching band together more than once a year. thanks for posting!

Hey im one of the drummers, You have an audition before you leave for basic training. If you pass the audition then that just means you made to to the school. Thats when it gets hard =)

@tubalarmarine No prob :-) Glad you were somewhat visible. We got mesmorized and didn't notice our camera go down :-( sorry about that. My husband was a Marine and couldn't answer one of my questions, do you guys try out for the marching band or when you enlist do you sign up for it, how does it work? But seriously, you guys were awesome!

Great video,was it me,or,were people not really into it?I remember in years past people were so enthusiastic,I guess its the times..Anyways,great audio/video!

@topper2142 In the section I was in people were into it and clapping and cheering for the few and the proud but last year there seemed a higher cheer "volume". But the Marines never disappoint :-) The movements are so crisp, i love it!!
