These styles are loosely based on the styles worn by Marilyn Monroe in the 1959 classic comedy, 'Some Like It Hot'. Her hair was layered and longer in the back so my angled bob isnt just right for the style. But if your hair is cut properly, you should have a similar effect to the original. Also, I would suggest using perming rods or pin curls for more longevity.

I just bought these hot sticks from Walmart and I'm so excited to use them try out your looks Although they really are "hot"!! I guess holding the ends is the best bet : )

Just want to thank you for some advice you gave me regarding a good length for doing vintage styles. Just got my hair cut on Thursday, I love it, it feels a lot thicker. I can't wait to play with it. Thank you so much ;-)

what type of hot sticks do you use? I purchased some the other day and I found the curls just fall right out when I do a brush out.

@GenTink Roll all the hair w/ the iron and pin each section to the head as it cools so that your curls will be more pronounced. Then brush out all together.

Where did you get your hot sticks? :) And do you think they'll work if you have very long hair (to the waist) ?
