These styles are loosely based on the styles worn by Marilyn Monroe in the 1959 classic comedy, 'Some Like It Hot'. Her hair was layered and longer in the back so my angled bob isnt just right for the style. But if your hair is cut properly, you should have a similar effect to the original. Also, I would suggest using perming rods or pin curls for more longevity.

Music from 1959:
Broken Hearted Melody: Sarah Vaughn (1959)
Mack the Knife: Bobby Darin

  • your hair is growing. Will you let it grow or will you keep it the same. I love the color also.

  • @vgfigue I'll grow it to shoulder length or just beyond, but not long again.

  • Love this style. Do you have any tips for creating it with a regular curling iron, if it's possible?

  • @GenTink Roll all the hair w/ the iron and pin each section to the head as it cools so that your curls will be more pronounced. Then brush out all together.

  • Where did you get your hot sticks? :) And do you think they'll work if you have very long hair (to the waist) ?

  • @0pima0 Wal Mart 14.99. And yes but you'll need two sets.
