This video is a combination of three videos. I shortened it by deleting parts and combining it into one movie

  • SteveinKentucky, the hinge is actuall one half of an antenna roof mount which I took apart for this purpose. I did find that putting 9 buddistick arms together for a total of 16 feet was a lot better antenna for 20 meters.

  • @KD7GGQ - There is not earth ground. I am too high up to have a short connection to earth. Any such wire becomes a radial. The cold water pipe is 20 feet away in the bathroom, so that is also too long. What would you recommend? Anything too long becomes a radial.

  • This BuddiStick consist of two Buddipole Arms and one 66 inch Buddipole Whip. That would make the length about 110 inches not including the coil.

  • very nice ! great idea

  • That's one interesting way to have a quick mount for your Buddistick. I like the hinge. I've been thinking about getting one. I compared the Stick vs. Pole and a decision is tough.

  • very clever setup! how is the earth-ground connected? is it wired to the building wiring or did you run your own cable down the exterior?

  • very good. I have no sound right now...how tall is the buddistick? how many arms and what whip? 73 Rich
