Different hardware on the two systems makes for a lame comparison. The hardware isnt even remotely close.

The point of the video was to show you how much Windows 7 improved a old computer. The hardware wasn't supposed to be relevant.

I appreciate the honesty in this (stopwatch), but its not a fair test at all. If your going to test boot speed, you should use equivalent hardware on both machines. The notebook is way underpowered compared to the MacBook.

Dude it's what you have on the computer that matters and it varies completely on every single machine... my macbook could boot up faster than a windows machine i bet it just depends so this is very bias actually

i admire this kid, for the video comparison. however i do not feel boot speed has anything to do with overall system performance or speed. It is rather refreshing to see a child actually pursue technology for the learning value rather than the rest of the crap other children use computers for.

I will definitely consider taking advice from a 13 year old....lol! Windows 95?! You weren't even born! I would like to see you ACTUALLY compare 2 machines with similar specs with different OS's and see who wins.

Maybe it is time to upgrade your moms PC from Windows 95? It is no longer true man. The same with blue screens. They gone away 10 years ago. Also do the same with yor mac (if only you'll find any serious software for this system) - install hundreds of apps and we will see...

By the way DOS boots in less than 1 sec. Does it mean DOS is 14 times better then Leopard?

lol. fresh installs are always faster kid. use a windows machine for a few mons and then do a boot test lol. at my moms work i had to set up her pc (faster on paper than my laptop) and when i turned it on i felt like i should have taken lunch. ive had os x installed sense snow leopard came out and mine boots in 14secs.
