SC isn't dying... its is eternal, much in the way of CS. CS sucks, however, and became big by chance, while starcraft deservesto forever stand in the hall of fame of computer gaming.

And don't worry, Blizz are working on SC2.

well.. I guess theres no solid proof at that, but rather just my opinion. If you hang out at their site, or t kotaku, or some other game blog, you probably know that they have said that they will soon release information, and that they in the same interview also confirmed that there would be a starcraft 2, relatively soon. Alot of people (me included) think that their next title is SC2

World of starcraft could work as a sort of battlefield-ish game though. Say, something like tabula rasa. Zerg wouldn't have inventories, but rather quest rewards etc would be new mutations. Protoss would have a mix of inventory and psionic abilities.
