I have always had a passion for film-making. I graduated from New York University in 1999 with a joint degree in Film Production and Journalism. While at NYU, I started a movie-star interview show called The Inside Reel, which aired on college campuses all over the country. Each month I attended press junkets and interviewed stars of upcoming films. I was lucky enough to interview Christian Bale, Anthony Hopkins, Tommy Lee Jones, Jodie Foster, Adam Sandler, and Denzel Washington, to name a few. The Inside Reel later evolved into The Final Cut, which aired nationally for 2 years on The College Television Network (now MTV-U).
In 2001, I founded Dolce Films, a New York City based film and television production company. Some of our projects are Los Angeles Fashion Week 2004, Smashbox 2005, and a 2007 commercial for Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions. Most recently I filmed Olympic Gold Medal Winner Nastia Liukin for Vanilla Star Jeans Smart Girls Rock campaign.
Starting in 2004, I became actively involved with Bad Boy Entertainment Inc., working closely with P. Diddy himself. I have traveled the world as P. Diddys chief videographer, documenting the creation of his latest album Press Play and the joint European tour with Snoop Dogg in 2007, which visited Germany, France, England, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Netherlands. Other Bad Boy projects that I have worked on include promotional videos for Estee Lauders Unforgivable and I Am King campaigns, Sean Johns Fall 2008 Fashion Show, the behind the scenes video for Danity Kanes Damaged music video, and coverage of a Vogue party hosted by Cassie.
I have also worked as a director of photography for several television shows and documentaries: Court TVs Under Fire, CNBCs American Originals: Wesminster Dog Show, CNBC's "The Oprah Effect," The Pact, Allah Made Me Funny, United Nations Population Fund project called Too Brief a Child: Voices of Married Adolescents, and HBOs Le Cirque: A Table in Heaven.
In addition to all other projects, I have been producing wedding videos for over 10 years. Weddings spark my passion for documentary in an exciting way - each wedding day has a story of its own and a unique cast to tell it. I strive to achieve the perfect blend of style and personality for each wedding client, drawing on my years of film-making experience. I have founded BryanSarkinenWEDDING Inc. with the idea of offering wedding video packages that can be tailored to each clients individual requirements.
In March 2008, two of my recent wedding videos (Dalia & Josh, Dia & Keith) were chosen as the finalists of The Knots Real Wedding Awards. I'am also a recommended videographer for Atlantic City Weddings at Caesars, Bally's, Harrah's and Showboat.
