Jasmine is a client dog that was in for two weeks basic training. Like all dogs we train, she learned to remain calm and relaxed around distractions, including ducks, cats and dogs.

  • Too bad you feel the need to use negative training methods- choke chains should be a thing of the past.

  • Too bad you will find it nearly impossible to identify an "all positive" trainer who can actually take a vicious dog & teach it to have self restraint in a matter of hours rather than recommend that the dog is killed, which is what many trainers recommend because they are unwilling to use an appropriate, fair correction. This dog was to be euthanized for aggression before it came to us. The vet wouldn't see it without sedation. Now, she is a stable, self assured dog. What's the problem?

  • @darnfar Just because you cant find a trainer that will use positive reward-based methods doesn't mean you can justify using choke chains and hurting the dog. Of course it will behave around you- it WILL comply but it'll only be a temporary fix and be more inclined to be agressive when you or the owner are away. If you claim to have taught it in a matter of hours then that's proof of a 'quick' fix which is usually achieved by hurting and frightening the dog- eg. Cesar Milan.

  • @niptuck8068 I have posted a response at my website. It is under "Training Article" and called "A Challenge To Our Methods". I would prefer to leave the direct URL, but YouTube doesn't permit that. My website is DarnFar.com

  • This is a great dog! I don't think my Retriever/Chow mix could ever ignore any of that! I used to have a boxer and I truly agree with NinaMary23... my Rambo wouldn't be able to do that! This training is really amazing! I love those cats too! So sweet! I would spend money on training my dog like that!

  • Your Rambo would be able to remain calm with these sorts of distractions! I know because that's what we do. We have not met a dog that we could not train. Watch some of our other videos - all the dogs can learn self restraint. Why? Because they prefer being calm and relaxed, they just need to be taught that a human will be responsible for determining threats - so, they don't have to!

  • What surprise me the most is who trained those ducks and cats to tease and not fear the Student Dogs ???????

  • All it takes, is patients to train a dog.

Nice video. I like those duckies, the cute kitties and that big fluffy white dog looks so gentle and loyal to his kin and to his master.
