Relax and Smile (director's cut)

This is a polished and tweaked verson of an animation of mine (hence, why I'm calling it a director's cut). I reworked it so it could be submitted to the 2009 Suzanne film fest. It didn't make the cut, but I'm still proud of it.

f I had to describe this with only two words, I would say "morbidly upbeat" All art work and animation done in 3d using Blender. Inspired by the silhouette animations of Lotti Reiniger and the music of Hania Lee.

It's strange, but I kind of prefer the original. The animation here is technically superior, but it was the rough, oddly-textured look of the first version that, to me, gave it charm. But that's me. Now when I hear this song I picture that small, faceless smile.
