@heckisraining And well, you could say the same for previous generations. I just don't see the actual hardware getting better the way it delivers gameplay now. That's why they are going for gimmicks like 3D to deliver a new way to experience games and media.

Excellent description. I don't mean to rag on modern gaming, but a lot of games from the 16 bit era just showed more personality and creativity than those of today. Especially when you know how limited the hardware is when compared to today's.
