@RRT3am No mate. All GT40's were built in Slough England, that is MKI MKII and MKIII (road version only). Some were further modified for endurance racing by Shelby American and Holman & Moody in the US, but all were produced in UK by Ford Advanced Vehicles in England. The Ford GTMKIV, which, strictly speaking was not a GT40, was designed and built in America (10 examples). Many of the vehicles featured were designed and built in the UK, some in Germany, and some in Belgium.

@BADprid3 LOL you are so wrong. Ford EU works almost separately, exactly because each part services different market. There is no "chief designer for mad vehicles". The RS200 was built by Tony Southgate and John Wheeler (UK designers, JW is ex F1 designer), Cosworth is UK company too. So please ... Nobody is saying, there are no good US racecars, but on your Ford thing you are totally wrong. Do you really think, there is one man, that decides for both US&EU market? Wrong!
