Not a bad job at all with the landing. That's some serious wind you're flying in.

Hi,
Could you confirm that the CG is right on the manual assembly please ? Because my seller said the CG is around 60mm and on the manual is around 40mm....so it's not the same :-(
Thanks

Thanks for sharing! How many A is the motor? I have this discus and have to choose motor--i will get a 45A motor with a 60A ESC. Do you think it will be strong enough?

Hi bilbon63, this plane flies very well with the CG at 50 mm. If you place the CG further back the plane will be very unstable.
Best regards

Hi Hallobaaaby , my Discus has a Turnigy TR 35-48-B 900kv equivalent: AXI 2826, Graupner CAM 13x7 propeller carbon, battery Zippy Lipo 3s 2200mA 20C, ESC 50 A and UBEC 3A,all this generates 390 watts and consumes 34 amp.
The finished model weighs 1900 grams and whith the engine at 100% goes up to 45 degrees quickly at high altitudes.
I think your engine is more than enough, but you should check that the engine weight is not too large.

@QS27MDQ
Thanks alot for your reply and info!! I stayed with the 500w/45A motor. It gives good ballance so that the tail isn't too heavy, hope it will fly :) The man in the shop advised me a 60A ESC but i insisted on 45A ESC because the 60A one is without BEC. I don't think it is wrong to use 45A ESC with my motor, after all gliders don't go full gaz all the time. What is btw "900kv"?

@hallobaaaby
900 kv means that the engine runs at 900 r.p.m. per volt applied, if the battery is 12v engine runs at 10,800 rpm (In theory)

Hi, could you tell me if you added any down or right thrust to the firewall?
