@fpoasec Looks just like him, too! I wasn't surprised at all when I found out that he is his son.
-
@arepadetrigo Jimmy also has the same sweet spirit that his father always had.
-
@fpoasec It runs in the family.

check out the 1951 version of He Bought my Soul at Calvary with James Blackwood. Both beautiful. You can see Father and Son singing in each version. Very nice and a favorite song of mine.

James, R.W. etc would be SO proud to see this music live on :)

Outstanding! Jimmy reminds me so much of his father, James Blackwood. His dad must be proud of him for carrying on the impeccable Blackwood Brothers singing tradition. This is TRUE Gospel Quartet singing: a piano, a piano player, and four men at the microphones. It doesn't get any better than that!!!

This was just great ....what a blessing..GLORY!!!!!!!

Now that is some singing
-
This is a rare thing anymore; gospel quartet music, sung unvarnished and unembellished, just voices and keyboard. Notice how well they blend - just two microphones, and they balance themselves perfectly. You just can't beat this at all. It takes real talent to make this kind of music sound great this way.

Man, that brings back memories to an old fellow. He looks and sings just like his father.......Jimmy, I am proud of you!!! You've come back around to your roots the long way, but you're back
The bass singer is Randy Byrd, he is my friend's nephew.
