The majority of American voters are idiots. We still have enough freedoms to oppose certain ideas right? I'm sure it won't be long before it will be unlawful to oppose ideas, but until then I'll stick to my beliefs and express them.

This guy is a looney. Darfur is NOT our "moral responsiblity". We don't need to lose one single US troop for their problem. Give Edwards and his legion of liberal hippies weapons and send them off to fight in Darfur if they're so worried about it instead of thinking it's the government's job is to make it all better. Goddamn I'm sick of everyone assuming America's job is to babysit the globe, it's nonsense.

I thought I'd never seen the day when Americans would aspire to be "CAGED IN" like those countries have historically been.
A wall cages you in as much as it keeps someone else out. Your government is torturing, building concentration camps, getting rid of habeas corpus, and posse comitatus, and you want them to cage you in?

Very classy, very classy. The reason the U.S. should "babysit" Darfur is because we can. We are the world's greatest super power and we need to help out Sudaneese refugees who are being tortured, raped, and killed everyday. I don't think you realize how little effort it would take to end this genocide if we had well-equipped U.S. and/or U.N. troops in Darfur. The Janjaweed is so il-equipped that it wouldn't take long to stop them and try them for humanitarian crimes.
