Do you know the name about that family? I mean, I remember seeing a program where a family chose to have kids even that they knew they had I don't know like a 50% of having retard children, they had 5 kids, 2 retarded and one mild retarded and 2 healthy. I just can't find where I saw that program or their name. They are the perfect example of how unfair would be to make incest illegal, unless all sex becomes regulated to make sure there is no defects (eugenics)

Very insightful.

You simply legalise it, but have no dogma encouraging it, and you will find it rare that people choose that route.
But why punish people that choose that route.
As long as if of their free will, it is not harmful and too uncommon to cause harm at large.
The idea of the genders being 1-1 is irrelevent because theres plenty that die single willingly or through never finding the right person.
If everybody married then you may have a problem with 1-1 issue

Instead those restless men lash out at other cultures.
This isnt guaranteed, but its apparently historically above average.
Still, thats in cultures where polygomy is encouraged / expected.
Where women are property or arranged marraiges are performed.
There are very peaceful cultures that have polygomy though, such as mormons.
There are couples around the world that are polygamic even in societies that dont accept it, being quite happy
Making polygomy legal is not the same as encouraging it

A bit of an old topic, but wanted to say that your not basing your of polygomy on reality even though we have plenty of current culture and history to look to.
I have seen it put forth that polygomous cultures are more violent, but against outside cultures, not their own culture.
At least some polygomous cultures have lower crime than we do.
There isnt so much competition for women that end in violence because the culture creates rules to deal with that.

Aside from economic stability, there are more reasons to think polygamy is harmful. There's only a 1:1 ratio of men to women. In polygamy, men are the one's with more than one partner(typically). Young men in polygamous communities are often banished. If society at large were polygamous, it's not hard to imagine the level of competition for women, which would of course include violence. Underage marriage's occur in polygamous communities(due to the high competition for partners?)
If children is the reason for tax breaks, why are we incentivizing people to have children when they otherwise couldn't afford them? What's one of the big reasons for crime? Having a bad childhood. What's one of the big reasons for having a bad childhood? Parental instability. What's one of the big reasons for parental instability? Financial instability! Thus, by offering tax breaks, we are incentivizing the growth of a new generation of criminals.

You'd have to make the objective argument that people are having kids solely for the tax-break.
That would take some work.
Though I see your point.

. . . So then limit tax breaks between only two spouses, and if they want more spouses, no more tax breaks . . . . ?
Why offer tax breaks to any married individuals in the first place? The fact that they are combining their productivity automatically reduces their expenses by half. Instead of each having to pay for their own comforts and shelter, they only need to pay once for both of them. Married couples are financially better off than single people. So why give them more money?

Keep in mind I made it very clear that if the economic issues are nonsensical or non-issue, then I am COMPLETELY for polygamous marriages.
