Starting Over - The Raspberries (1974)

Eric Carmen: I wrote it with the intention that "Starting Over" was going to be about a relationship but also could refer to the new band and kind of a new beginning. From that standpoint, I thought it was a fine song. Probably the very best ending of any song I've ever written. The record doesn't even do it justice because the piano got buried by some strings.

@45spindle - I just noticed the F bomb as well in the first line. I had to listen to it a few times because it caught me off guard as I was driving lol. I suppose if your album only makes it to 143 on the charts you can get away with one without anyone noticing. But yeah, he definitely doesn't say "very".
