Is Chesil Beach salty? I know that it is brackish from Abbotsbury onward, but is it only salty on that point or is it salty all the way?

This video is taken from the Eastern end (near the Isle of Portland) on the seaward side, so this part is definately salty. On the landward side of the beach there are pools which may bee brackish as they are a little more sheltered from the sea.
