I know I'm late, but thanks!!! I will be trying a version of this mix (minus the glycerine) to seal in moisture. I have extremely dry 4c hair, and have been "experimenting" with night time routines to keep it lubricated and hydrated. So far what works best for me is spritzing with 100% aloe vera juice until moist throughout, then rubbing on the liquified shea butter mixed with jojoba oil, then putting a thin coating of coconut oil on my plaited hair, putting on a scarf & sleeping.

i also make a mix of shea butter, i add coconut oil, and aloe vera gel/juice to it though. so far its the most moisturizing thing i've found, especially now that it is getting cold. i've also heard of making a spritz using a little olive oil works too, since glycerine is not good to use in the winter. it can dry your hair out... so disappointing lol i was loving my glycerine mix lol. i've yet to try the olive oil as a spritz, but i plan to really soon
