Thanks for posting this, Howard! You rock.
For those keeping score--the 1st soloist is cornetist Danny Tobias, followed by clarinetist Evan Christopher, trombonist Harvey Tibbs, trumpeter Jon-Erik Kellso, clarinetist Dan Block, guitarist Howard Alden, and that's drummer/vibes player Chuck Redd playing brushes on the table and chair and whatnot, trading with bassist Sebastian Girardot in town from Paris.
Come visit us there at the Ear, we play Sundays, 8-11 pm, 326 Spring St., NYC.

The essence of impromtu improvisation done in a totally relaxed atmosphere. Just a small club in New York. Some of this has happened and is still happening in clubs in Toronto, Vancouver and also in my former hometown of Bussum in the Netherlands. Different levels of musicianship this session had the some of the best in the world, but who cares, it is the feel that gets across to your our audiences, and that makes us so happy to be able to perform. Thanks to give this great sample.
